What's the difference between Route Seat and Private Journey?

Route Seat means your pet shares a route with a small group of other pets traveling the same corridor — scheduled departures with 30-minute arrival windows, and the most economical way to book. Private Journey means your pet is the only passenger, direct from pickup to drop-off on your preferred schedule, with 15-minute scheduling precision. Both options include the same verified Pet Concierges, live GPS tracking, and 5-point Care Check at every transition.

How is my pet transported?

Your pet travels in your Pet Concierge's personal vehicle with individual attention throughout. Each concierge's setup is different — some use secured crates, others have custom transport configurations — and you can see their exact setup in their vehicle photos and intro video before you book. Every trip includes regular rest stops for bathroom breaks, walks, water, and feeding, with a photo update and Care Check at every stop.

What is the Care Check?

Care Check is a five-point safety protocol that every Pet Concierge performs at every pickup, rest stop, and handoff during your pet's journey. The five points: leash protocol (pet secured any time the vehicle door opens), vehicle security (doors, windows, and cargo areas checked during transport), escape prevention (concierge manages transitions), emergency vet lookup (nearest emergency vet pre-identified along the route), and phone accessibility (owner can always reach the concierge). Care Check is documented, not assumed.

How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on distance, service type, and your Pet Concierge's rate. Most trips range from $0.80–$1.20 per mile — so a 500-mile trip runs roughly $400–$600. wuffle shows you the estimated range before results even load, so there's no sticker shock at checkout. The price shown is the price charged — all-in, no deposits, no hidden fees. Optional Trip Protection is $15 at checkout.

How do I know my pet is safe?

Every Pet Concierge passes four verification checks: identity, vehicle, insurance, and background. You watch a 30–60 second video intro before you book. During the trip, you see live GPS tracking on a real-time map and receive labeled photo updates at every stop. Before pickup, your Pet Concierge submits a full Pet Travel Plan and performs a Care Check at every transition. And 24 hours after delivery, wuffle checks in to make sure your pet is home and settled.

Do I need a health certificate?

Most interstate pet transport requires a health certificate from your veterinarian, issued within 10 days of travel. Costs typically range from $75–$250. wuffle surfaces this reminder before you book so you can plan for it — not discover it the week of your trip. Your Pet Concierge can also advise on the specific requirements for your route.

What if something goes wrong during transport?

Every booking includes a 2-hour review window after delivery. If there's an issue, you can file a dispute and our team handles it personally. Optional Trip Protection ($15) adds cancellation coverage — full refund if your Pet Concierge cancels or is unable to complete the trip within 48 hours of pickup.

Can I talk to my Pet Concierge before pickup?

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, we schedule a pre-trip introduction call before pickup day — a quick 5-minute conversation where you can share your pet's needs, ask questions, and get comfortable before the trip starts. You also have in-app messaging for coordination leading up to and throughout the trip.
